Booking Conditions

All bookings you make are with Kalamus Travel   acting as agent for the owners of the properties we advertise. By signing the booking form or paying to us any monies for accomodation, you are agreeing to the following conditions:

1.Bookings

A 30% deposit of the property rental must be paid upon booking, unless otherwise stated. No contract exists until we have actually received the deposit and a signed booking form which must be fully completed. We will then confirm your booking via fax, email, in writing, or on the telephone.

2.Number Of Persons

Only the persons listed on the booking form may stay at the property.  The number of people must not exceed the number of sleeping places indicated in the property description excluding babies where a travel cot may be present.  Pets are not permitted unless approved in writing by us. A breach to this clause, will incur an extra charge for increased occupancy or you could be asked to vacate the property without compensation.

3.Cancellation

If you cancel all or any part of your booking, the following conditions will apply:
a. Up to 10 weeks prior to arrival you will forfeit the deposit and booking fee.

b. 10 weeks or less prior to arrival you will forfeit 100% of monies paid.

c. All cancellations must be received by us in writing. Travel insurance is recommended in the event that you need to cancel your holiday.

4.Alterations and Amendments by you

If you wish to amend your booking, all possible consideration will be given to your request. Where the amendment requires a change of dates, property or room upgrade, this will only be possible if the room or property is available, and may incur an additional charge. If you decide to leave the accommodation early we will treat this as a cancellation by you and no refund will be applicable.

5.Alterations and Cancellations by us

In the unlikely event that we need to make any changes or cancel a confirmed booking, we would advise you at the earliest opportunity and offer you alternative comparable accommodation. Should you decide to upgrade your accommodation this would be at your own expense and any difference in price would be payable to us. If you do not wish to take the alternative accommodation we would refund all monies paid to us.

6.Security Deposit

For properties that incur a security deposit, you will be made aware of this and we will collect this with your final payment. The deposit covers the cost of any damage or breakages to or within the property, both inside or outside. In the event that no damage is incurred during your stay, the full amount of your deposit will be returned to you within 8 weeks of your departure.

7.Utilities

There is no extra charge for any utilities such as air conditioning, as these are all included in the price. Please be aware that Turkey does not always have a consistent supply of water or electricity. Some properties, particularly hotels, may have a generator and their own reserve water tanks to ensure there is no interruption to supply. However, most apartments or villas will not have an electricity generator but most have a reserve water tank. Kalamus Travel or our representatives cannot be held responsible for any utility outages as may occur from time to time.

8.Arrival and Departure Times

To allow for cleaning between guests, your room or property will be available between 2pm and 4pm (dependent upon which property is booked). You must depart between 10am and 12 noon (dependent again upon which property is booked). If you wish to arrive or depart outside these times, this may be possible but an extra charge will apply. We may also require your flight details to ensure someone is at the property to meet you upon arrival and departure.

9. Airport Transfers

If you require us to arrange airport transfers please contact us for a quotation.

10.Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance. Turkey is not part of the European Union, and has no reciprocal agreement with the UK regarding medical expenses. You will therefore be liable for any health treatment or medication in the event you require it.

11.Cleaning

If you are staying in a hotel, you will receive daily housekeeping services as you would normal expect from a hotel. If you are staying in a self-catering apartment or villa, you will receive at least a mid-week clean, towels and bed linen change. Your apartment or villa will be clean upon your arrival, and it is expected that you will leave the house in a reasonably clean and tidy condition. If extra cleaning is required after your departure due to exceptional dirtiness, we will deduct this amount from any security deposit held. This decision will be at the discretion of the property owner.

12.Pets

Pets are not allowed.

13.Jurisdiction

This contract is governed by Turkish Law.

14.Complaints

All our property descriptions are correct at the time of print and made in good faith with the co-operation of the property owner. We cannot take responsibility for changes made to any property without our knowledge or consent. If however during your stay you have reason to complain, we ask that you contact the property manager/owner or us immediately. If you have reason to complain once you have vacated the premises, we would ask that you write to us with full details of your complaint. In either event, we will do our utmost to resolve your complaint amicably.

15.Advertising, website and other information

Any brochures or printed material is correct at the time of going to press. Any changes to our accommodation as advertised on our website will be updated as soon as is possible. E&OE.

16.Data  Protection

Your information will not be given to third parties, unless it is in connection with the services we are providing to you, or as a result of a legal requirement.
